Where It All Began

Today, I am throwing it back, way back to August of 2011 when I started blogging.  I first began blogging after I took the Texas Bar Exam in July.  I had a little over a month until I started work full-time and thought it would be a great way to continue creative writing and share my thoughts.  I was a newlywed, we had just bought our first house, I was starting a new career and well, it just seemed like a good time to blog.

My first blog was Illegally Blonde.  Cliché or not, it fit me.  I was, and am, still a huge Reese Witherspoon fan and that movie is one of my all-time favorites!  It just fit.  This was back in the time of no Instagram and no Facebook for blogs, nope it was just reading and doing link ups so find blogs and gain followers.  And gain I did.  I had several hundred faithful readers and made so many friends.

But, that first blog, well it chronicled a huge part of my life.  From marriage to divorce and finding Christ again.  I read some of my old posts now and think man, I have come so far, or wow, blogging has changed dramatically, and man, I was so raw and open.

So, today I am sharing an old blog post with you all.  This is part 1 of the story of why I decided to leave my job in higher education administration and go to law school.  It will also give you some insight into me and my childhood.
