The One Where She Turned 3

Today my sweet baby girl turns 3.  Every mom can remember the day each of their babies are born I was sitting at home, and had just finished a conference call and took the dogs for a walk, when my water broke.  Yup, right there in front of our townhouse.  I had no clue what to do and honestly thought I had just peed myself.  I will spare you the next 21 1/2 hours of horror, but there she was.  All 7lbs 4 ozs. of her.

And then you were 1.

And then just like that you were 2.

Two has been hard for you and I sweet girl.  But, it has also been wonderful to watch how much you have grown and changed in the past year.  You talk. All.The.Time and all the words.  You love numbers and count to 60 on the regular before you go to bed.  You love to read books and memorize every word.  You love fiercely and fight just the same. You are tomboy and girl all rolled into one fireball of energy. E, you amaze me every day with how you see the world and its wonder and awe.  You like dinosaurs, excavators, skorts, Peppa Pig, blocks, Ladybug Girl, and anything that moves.

I can see so much of your Daddy in you.  How you examine and analyze how things work and move. You need everything to be in its place and strive for perfection.  But, you are your mother's daughter.  You feel everything and feel it hard.  You frustrate easily, are stubborn to the core, and have a zest for learning.

We may not always see eye to eye E, but I love you more than you will ever know.  You have filled a huge whole in my heart that I never knew existed.  Happy 3rd birthday girl!
