Valentine's Day Gift Guide
Ok, so here it goes…I hate Valentine’s Day. Sue me. But, I am just not one for Hallmark holidays. Perhaps its because I always had big expectations when I was younger and they somehow (shocker) were never lives up to. Yes, my sweet husband has thrown in some romantic gestures, but honestly, we just do not make a big deal out of it. We hate going to dinner and being required to eat from an expensive pre-fixed menu. So, we opt to go out before or after the day (if we go out at all). Instead, we focus in E and small silly things.
So, without further ado, I give you my cost-saving, let’s be fun guide to Valentine’s gifts for all.
E will be getting this Peppa Pig book because she is obsessed.
I order these cute cookies every year from a local cookie maker to give to my assistant and close girlfriends. Seriously, if you ever need custom cookies in the Fort Worth-ish area Lindsay is amazing!
Hubs knows I love conversation hearts, so I get all the boxes!
Hubs and I have been known to stay in and turn this cheesy goodness on and just enjoy wine and pizza.
I also get the pups some pupcakes from a local dog bakery. They love these red velvet ones.
I always get the hubs cheesy boxers from Old Navy. Its just a good time to replenish and well, these are just too cute!
Lame? I just would rather focus on bigger holidays. I do get E things to pass out at school for their little party, but other than that its no big plans. Ok, so that weekend after Valentine’s Day I am hosting a mommy & me slumber party at my house for 9 of E’s friends and their mamas. Haha yes, promise to recap that one!
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?
