Weekending: Last Days of Summer
I cannot believe that summer vacation is winding down. All the back to school supplies are in the stores and school clothes shopping is in full swing. But, we are soaking up the last few weeks of summer vacation here in the Winter household. So, let’s recap last week.
E spent another week at the studio for Acro/Twirling Camp, but this time…mommy was a teacher.
Most of you probably know that I am a former baton twirler and have taught for the last couple of years. This year we hosted a half-day camp at the studio, and we have 24 kiddos to teach!
We busted out the fire batons and had a blast!
I also got to celebrate one of our teachers who is about to get married and snuggle our tiny baby ballerina.
After camp ended, I took E and her BFF M to lunch, the trampoline park, frozen yogurt and then some movie time. The girls had a blast.
I taught my usual classes plus two extra creative moveMINT classes for our last week of summer dance. And then I came home and crashed on the couch.
My body was exhausted. If you missed my stories last week, then you missed that I had a HUGE deadline at work. I was writing a brief for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals while teaching camp. It was stressful, but rewarding. So I slept for hours. Then I headed out for dinner with the hubs.
It was a pretty lazy Sunday for us. I had a Junior League meeting in the afternoon and then headed to the salon for a girls’ day blowout. I had so much fun hanging out with other local bloggers and enjoying some company.
